Spread God's Love

Image
When we look at people the way God does, their appearance will never matter. We will see their need for salvation the way we once did, we will show the kind of love God has for them. Love that is not condemning but accepting, love that goes beyond the appearance of a person... the kind of love that will never be familiar because it will be new every morning...     Everyone needs Jesus even the ones we critically say are already  bound to hell for their wrong doings.    We can never change a person but God can. His love and saving grace will bring a person into repentance and change. So let's keep spreading God's Love. (photo from google)

No Secrets

Image
"For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." Luke 8:17    Last week, we had this verse in one of our morning devotions. This was left as a challenge to us about character, about who we are when no one is looking. Before you do something that you believe is not of faith, always ask this question "Am I willing to let my loved ones see what I am about to do?". That was the challenge.     Today, I thought of this verse again and realized how encouraging this verse is. I went over the preceding verses and found out that this passage gives us the assurance that God knows, God sees, He sees everything that we do. It is no secret to Him that you picked up that candy wrapper on your way up to the auditorium or that you went home later than every one else because you decided to do someone else's responsibility. He felt how sorry you were when you wanted to help but got nothing to give. He ...

Desire

Image
"Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee."  Psalm 73:25           The psalmist admitted that he was envious of those who prospered, but he knew that those were ungodly prosperity of this world. He soon tells that God is his only strength. Drawing near to God and putting his trust on Him is the best way to attain genuine prosperity.                     Things of this world will never satisfy our hungry souls. Material things may give us a minute of pleasure while God's love can give us an everlasting joy.                    We humans, living in the flesh are vulnerable of all sorts of temptations, the enemy uses weapons of this world like "materialism" and "discontentment" to engage us to sin. Now this becomes a portal of the enemy in stealing the joy we once ...

LOVE SPELLED LUST

Image
After so many days, I finally got the momentum to write what my mind has been shouting out for so long. Before you continue reading this material, please bear in mind that all these are based from my own experiences and opinion. I am writing this not to offend you but rather warn you of what this world might be filling your mind and heart with. There came a time when most of the young ladies of our church drowned themselves into reading books which were definitely beneficial. Books were the reason why even when they were together it seemed like they were not. After finishing a book, they would share what they’ve learned from it, what strucked them the most and some of their realizations. Our leaders felt good about it, they were happy, because somehow, these young ladies are learning how to protect themselves from untimely relationships; which even now, is still evident. By the grace of the Lord they have kept what they’ve learned. Don’t worry, I’m getting there, I just had to shar...

A Lover Taken for Granted

Image
This world we live in now is filled with spiritual destruction. Technology, media, disadvantageous activities and all other sort of things which the enemy use to annihilate our pure relationship and fellowship with our Creator. Gone are the days when our desire for spiritual things are on fire, when our passion for Godly wisdom heats our sole existence and purpose in life.  I thought of writing this after some time of observation at church and at school. I guess most of us are aware of how social media/social media games, technologies have been massively grasping attention and the span of focus it takes from us is not just for seconds or minutes but hours of our daily lives. I am not against any of these for some say, "we do it just to kill time" or for some other important reasons.            I don't hate these, but I am saddened of how these greatly affect our conversatio...

Revival Within

Image
"Wilt Thou not revive us again: that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?" Psalm 85:6(KJV)         The most desperate need of our day is a spiritual and moral renewal. This revival must begin with God's people , you and me, the church. It must be more than a mere increase in membership and attendance. There must be an individual resurgence of God's consciousness, moral righteousness  and Christ-like living. It must include the elements of humbling ourselves and turning from our wicked ways (2 Corinthians 7:14)                  Although spiritual renewal cannot be "worked up" by human effort, we can ask God sincerely for a fresh touch of His love and the desire to represent and serve Him more effectively.           In our Christian walk, we will reach a point when we feel like quitting, thinking that we've done enough, waited long enough and helped generously. Then we tell ourselves, "I ...
